| EMME Production Site Launched |
Most of you know a little about EMME. EMME is a web-based Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) tool. We developed EMME to help project teams better manage M&E systems, to make it easier to meet client reporting requirements, and to improve access to M&E information – results, indicators, data, success stories, and supporting documents. We hope EMME will enable project teams to focus on using M&E information more effectively in decision-making to improve project impact.
We are pleased to announce the availability of the EMME production web site at the this address:
http://emme.rti.org
EMME is currently being used by the following IDG projects:
• USAID Education System Reform Assistance (ESRA), Pakistan • USAID Local Governance Support Program (LGSP), Indonesia
The following projects will be using EMME soon:
• USAID Municipal Budget Reform (MBR), Ukraine • USAID Indonesia Quality Decentralized Basic Education (IQDBE) • USAID Iraq Local Governance Support Project (ISLGP)
IDG M&E and ICT specialists are working with these projects to help them improve their M&E systems and to get started using EMME.
As many of you also know we have already started developing new and improved EMME features with RTI Internal Research and Development (IR&D) funding. Major new features will include the following:
• Automatic suggested sequence numbering of results and indicators • Easier creation and handling of disaggregated indicators • Additional standard report formats • Improved access controls for reports • Ability to enter success stories • Improved GIS map displays • Ability to display point-based (e.g. municipalities) map data • Improved user interface • A complete User Guide
We encourage proposal teams to consider, in consultation with ICT, the potential for EMME to support your project’s M&E information management and use. RTI must either be the prime or be the partner in charge of M&E, and it cannot be a program design requiring transfer of the entire M&E system to any other organization (partner, client, host country, etc.). Ask us for more details!
EMME is only part of the IDG M&E Initiative to improve our M&E capacity across our programs. As part of this initiative IDG M&E specialists have prepared a series of workshops on M&E principles and best practices. Look for more information soon about these and other efforts to improve our capacity in this area. |
